Gangwon Land (CEO Lee Sam-gul) announced on the 6th that it has cracked down on illegal gambling by

About 46 officials from related agencies, including the illegal surveillance reporting center of the integrated
supervisory committee of the gambling industry, Jeongseon Police Station, Gangwon
Police Agency, Yeongwol Police Station, Pyeongchang Police Station, Samcheok Police Station,
Taebaek Police Station, Gangneung Police Station, and Jeongseon County Office, participated in the joint crackdown.
Kangwon Land and Jeongseon Police Station signed a business
agreement in 2022 to prevent illegal gambling and established a business cooperation system to crack
down on illegal game venues and gambling activities and continue to carry out joint prevention activities.

According to Kangwon Land, it conducted joint crackdowns with related organizations such as Jeongseon
Police Station and the integrated supervisory committee of the gambling industry twice in March and
June to prevent the recent indiscriminate spread of illegal gambling, and uncovered illegal Holdum
pubs and adult PC rooms in Sabuk-eup.
Meanwhile, Kangwon Land operates a reporting reward system to take the lead in eradicating illegal
gambling, encouraging citizens to participate actively, and strengthening reporting and monitoring
activities such as strengthening the confidentiality of reporters and establishing standards for
payment of reporting rewards based on the size of gambling sites and the contribution of informants.
